IIRC, there is one of those rubber isolators that attaches the air box to the top of the case via a sheet metal bracket. I couldn't find the damn thing when I was pulling mine off and it gave me fits. Can't point you to the exact location since this is years ago, but check under the airbox at each of the case bolts for an attachment point. HTH,
