Why not in the morning but at night?

That sort of points me to the points. I am thinking if it was mixture related whether it is 90 degree or 80 degrees shouldn't throw off the mixture if the engine at both times is running at 80C. Since it was 80C at both times, I think I can cancel it out. Maybe I am wrong.

It did it at start up (0C)and never recovered all the way home (10 miles or so).
