I went through the same thing...Soak the ends for a couple of days with liquid wrench. Drive in the fork. Use a jack under the handle of the fork and raise the car about 1/4 inch above the jack stand. Heat the arm around the tie rod end. Lightly hammer the tie rod. Worked like a charm for me. BTW, I ended up tearing the rubber boot that keeps the grease in there.
