I have a 70T engine with these parts ready for Wayne's 2.2-2.4 higher compression engine.
- recently new T pistons with machined valve reliefs ( from Walt )
- Nice std 2.4 Crank / Rebushed 2.4 Rods
- New Main Bearings
- 12 Refaced or New Rocker Arms ( Walt )
- New E-Cams ( Reground by Camgrinder )
- Rebushed/Rebuilt Zenith Carbs
So, I am wondering about 3 of the next steps. I know that I need to get the heads done. I know that I should get new exhaust valves, but do I reuse 35 year old intake valves and springs, or add those to the pile? The Intakes are within the clearance ranges.
My case does NOT have piston squirters or the oil-bypass surgery. How critical is this to do, and can someone recommend a
reasonable machine shop to do it?
Just any advice for this particular upgrade would be helpful.
