I just happened to pull and repalce the tank today on my SC....looks like someone tried to lift the car with a jack under the sender and dented it....totally screwing up the new sender that was in it. I think it was the tow guy when I broke down a few months ago....

Tried to bang it back flat with a dowel stuck down the sender hole and reinstall...no gud....

So new/used tank.....the bottom fittings were a 17mm flare fitting for the return line and a slip on rubber tube with a hose clamp from the fuel pump......it doesn't look anything like what I see in your pic.

Sorry...have you got a Haynes manual?
