Max decided he wanted to take the fall off from Soccer (3 years running is starting to burn him out!). So we dicided maybe he would like to learn Horsemanship. This is his first time riding. I think we will do it every weekend. He loved it and seemed to do well. I like the fact that he keeps his back straight and most of the time he keeps his heels down (he does need some boots!). He is even learning how to tack and groom! The horse (pony actually) is perfect size for him now but in a few years he will out grow her.

I told my wife "Give him 8 years and he will be on the Rodeo circuit!", "God almightly Mike, can he just have something to do that he doesn't have to compete in!" She has a point...
