			update:I remember reading somewhere that a loose rotor could cause this... so, for ha-has, I took off the distributor...
 
 lo and behold, the rotor was loose. I went to tighten it, only to find that the flathead screw holding it in place had somehow broken off (???) and that part of the screw was still in its place in the camshaft body (or whatever you call where the rotor goes).
 
 Would it be a bad idea to drill this out? Am I (excuse the pun) screwed?
