If you can afford it, I would pay the difference and get a new one. With a used one, you are still in the situation where it could go "bad" at any time. I bought a brand new Bosch that lasted 5 minutes. I returned it and got another one with no hassle. . So much for Bosch quality!! (I hope their woodworking tools are better..I just bought a new Bosch Router!!)

I wonder what the country of origin is on their stuff nowadays?
