Slots -That could be a bad assumption on my part. (they may exist under the U-bracket . . . when I posted I didn't remember if it was an L or U)

one other thing to look out for.. Some latch brackets have thick spacers . . .some have thin. (per John Walker . .. when I found, on a call at his shop, some window latches mounted differently, on thick "gaskets")

Hand built cars, you know. I imagine Hans (or Franz) with an assortment of spacers, getting the right fit for each car.
