What Oil (oh no not again!)

Hi Guys
Happy Christmas and best for 2006 from down under!

Back to the serious stuff! I know oil has been done to death on these forums and I have read many of the earlier postings.
But........I am still none the wiser as what I should do!

My engine has just undergone a full rebuild by an excellent and trusted mechanic (Jon Warring at Rennsport in NZ). Car runs really well now and is perfect apart from a smidgen of oil from each of the cam chain covers i.e. only enough for a spot on the garage floor if the car is stationary for a week (which is not that often).

I have full synthetic Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5-50W in the engine thinking that as it is "new" then a full synthetic oil would reduce wear longterm. I also thought (maybe naively) that the engine wouldn't leak - even though it is a 2.7 - and that the lighter weight oil would be OK!

The car is a daily driver and had only occasional track day use

Questions now are
1. Should I live with the leak as a trade off to better oil/less engine wear?
2. or should I change the oil and if what to.

Thanks
Andrew
