A friend and I went camping about a month ago. I got a ticket because I did not have a park permit on my truck. At the time, I thought, whatever no big deal, life goes on. RIGHT…

I arrived home after a long weekend of camping out and shooting at pheasant and I could not find the ticket. I said, screw it, they will mail me a letter advising me what my fine is and I will just pay it off at that time.

The letter I got was a failure to appear notice and a warrant for my arrest.

So, tonight I had to go to my county clink, turn myself in, and post my own bond. I was in jail for about 3 hours. It sucked.

If you should ever get a ticket for being in a state park without a permit, dont wait for a letter. I know this is one mistake I will never make again.
