Okay Old Skull,
For some of us mechanically challenged a simple swepco change can turn into a nightmare!.
Small pin next to quarter was attatched to magnet, suspected to be pin which activates reversing light.
But the reversing light works!
Vertex say it may be a extra one which fell out
.....Hmmmmmmmm! (Still in 6 month warrantee period)

The other parts which broke are the clutch cable bracket wich crumbled and the throttle linkage, where the ball dropped off as I was trying to seperate the cable from the linkage.
Seems someone had tried to repair this once as there was a blob of weld holding it on.
Further attempts to seperate the ball from the cable socket (in a vice) remain hopeless.
So do I need to buy a whole new cable or can I get just the cable socket piece?
The two linkages are both on order with Vertex as I wish to show them the pin before I drive the car again!.
With hindsight am glad all this happened now rather than on the road!
Any advice/comments greatfully recieved.
