Just don't tell people your cutting a hole unless you're wearing Nomex or have a full bottle of Halon.

FTR, I'm the nut that started the hole (pun/misspell intended) Rennlist flame war... I mean thread.

At this point, I feel like a tennis ball as I don't know what I want to do. I will be adding a Safety Devices V brace cage and a Fire bottle in the engine and maybe in the passanger compartment. I figure the factory did this "butchery" for a reason, and I fugure that reason was ease/speed of maintance. Many (most) say I can perform the tasks without the hole and many of those say those tasks take a long time.

What's the Pelican consensus... Hole or no hole, and I want the whole story as to reason.
