If you modify the original oil lines (see separate thread) it seems possible. Keep the 2 in muffler; you'd be getting half of the exhaust through the cat and perhaps enough to pass emission test, and it would be a lot easier to do the swap.

Not really...most smog techs don't understand the concept of air cooled cars and heat exchangers....they look like big old cats to most of them...
