I may just loose a few comrades here but....
Picked up my Suburban after service at local dealer and test drove a new Vette!.
And y'know what! having been fortunate enough to blast a new 996 turbo and a new vette i feel qualified to make a few comparisons like value for money.
Of Course if money was no option there would be no arguement.
But there seems a lot of people on the site pouring huge sums of money into their P cars and producing meagre horsepower/torque/reliability.
Me for one has spent $8-9k in 1 1/2 yrs with the car not the most reliable.
I must come clean and admit I was impressed with the vette, it options and value for money, coupled with Chevy reliability.
Don't get me wrong,I love my go-cart feeling 911 but hate having to dig so deep into my pocket every month!.
I is seeming more logical for me to own an American sports car whilst in the states and save my dream car for when I return to Europe in a few years!.
I may not be 'straying from the flock' but just taking some time out!.
....Anyone wanna 86 Cabrio?
