flywheel ??
In an attempt to remove the flywheel from my 2.2S engine last night, I noticed something that looked a little funny. The flywheel didn't have the starter ring gear. I'm not positive but I thought that was an integral part of the flywheel? After further research, it looks like I have a drive plate from a sportomatic instead of a flywheel. Can I just remove the drive plate and bolt on a flywheel? I didn't think there was a 71S sportomatic? The engine is a 911/02. Looking at light weight flywheels in catalogs, I don't see the starter ring gear either. I am VERY confused!
