sounds like the way to buy one.
My wife works at the Port of Long Beach. Shipping is really no big deal. The freight forwarders do all the paper work. All you do is show up at the terminal when you are notified and bring ID and your end of the paperwork. Be prepared to wait a long time.
It's not much different than common truck freight.
