High Idle Warm problem?
My 83 SC starts fine cold and idles about 1000 rpm (per dash tach) , drive 2 miles max speed 35 mph 2nd gear to 7/11 restart idle is high 2000 rpms - slowly comes down to 1200, drive .3 miles to starbucks, restart idles @ 1200 & hunts abit. This is the only time it does it - if I get it to full operating temp it does not do this, and it does not do it when stopped at lights if I have not shut it off. Is this normal or a problem?
