Finally managed to change my tie rods for the turbo items. All in all a rather neat project.
I did notice an improved steering response - but nothing dramatic. I only took an ocular measurement for length of the new rod as compared to the old. I only have 6 miles to the shop anyway.
Left rod was exactly spot on and the right only needed a quarter of a turn ! I guess I donīt need glasses after all..
One more thing. I did have a slight vibration in the steering wheel at higher speeds before changing rods. All gone now. Steady as a rock up to 240 km/hr. Just tested on a totally straight part of highway with no other cars in sight. Otherwise I am very law abiding on the road..
