Ok, i'm continueing my education on discover your limits.... I lowered the front suspension including re-indexing the front torsion bars. That went ok.
then,
To quote raceProEngineer- "the rear is much more difficult and takes considerably more time" No joke!
after reading three different published articles and three or four threads I decided it was within my abilities (except the corner balance and alignment).
4 nights later and it's still not right. Getting the da** spring plate stuff loose and off the first time was almost impossible. (Two mechanics; my ass, wayne!)
started out around 27" rear ht now its 24.25". The first attempt put the wheel well on the tire!
Now its about 1/4 above the tire on the rt and 1/2" above the tire on the Lft. Target ht is 25" in the rear.
I have no clue as to how jacked up the camber and Toe-in will be when i'm done. I hope I don't have to drive far to get it balanced and aligned.
It sure looks better though.
Last pic is starting point.
