It seems that I receive mailing every other day from a Congressman or a Senator here in Pennsylvania. The most recent one really caught my eye. It was for Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick. The front side of the mailing had a picture of John F. Kennedy and a quote from him. The reverse talked about Global warming, new energy, mass transit, protecting natural resources, etc. You would figure he is a liberal. After examining the entire document there is no note of party affiliation. I check his website and again no sign of party affiliation, that I could find in a 3 minute search. So I search the INTERNET and find out he is a republican.
Also in the mail was a flyer from Senator Stewart Greenleaf, again nowhere on the mailing is there any reference to his party affiliation. I went to his website
www.senatorgreenleaf.com and found that he has been in office since 1978, but again, nowhere is there any reference to his party affiliation, except under his biography there is a (R) next to his name.
It may be because these mailing say at the bottom "This mailing was prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense" That they cannot advertise party affiliation or is it that they do not want to?
When I look around at all the signs is front yards, I no longer see little Elephant or Donkey in the corner as I used to.
Anybody else notice anything similar?
