Early this summer, a friend with a 78 SC had problems with his ignition... His key was stuck and was unable to turn it. He had MobileWorksEast check it out and was told that he needed a new ignition cylinder. Well, I just so happen to have an extra one at the time. It came with my car when i bought it.

After mulling it over, we worked out a trade deal. My ignition cylinder for his Front Valance. they were approximately the same cost.

6 mos later........

I am now having starting issue. At first I thought it was my solenoid on the starter but after analyzing my problem, I have come to the conclusion that NOW, I may need a new ignition cylinder. this realization came to me this yesterday when my car would not start. In frustration, I turn the key to start and wiggled it at the same time. Then the car started. So I figured that the contacts inside the cylinder are worn.

Does anyone want to trade a front valance for a good ignition cylinder?
