I wouldn't think that the 100$ or so in machining would be much a factor for mating a turbo head to 3.0 block. Having springs, CAMs, Valves and Ceramic lined head of the 8V Turbo Head is worth having in my opinion.

3.0 L Turbo Pistons needing no block modification. Uses standard 968 piston rings.
