I love Vettes, even have a few books on them and was going to get one as a middle life mental adjustment tool... until I found I could pick up a Porsche for less than five grand.
I have no hard feeling for the current trend in American classic cars that are bringing insane prices, supply and demand, hats off to them! Besides if it wasn't for the crazy prices I would be throwing around a big piece of American steel like I did in my youth instead of zipping around in my little 944... although I wouldn't be looking at a $250 water pump either.
