rear banana arms / wheel bearing

I am restoring and converting a 1970 911 T into a RSR and need advice regarding the strength of the existing banana arms and rear wheel bearings.

Would the existing banana arms and rear wheel bearings in the 911T stand up to the use of 11in. rims?

I've heard different input on this item; as well, I know that many people upgrade to the newer banana arms, however I've also heard argument as to why staying with the original arms is the best decision because of suspension geometry etc.

I spent all this weekend thinking about what to do and would appreciate the support of anyone who has been here before. I would like to make to right move while chassis construction is in motion.

If one reccomends replacement pieces; please let me know the details of the replacment parts so I can begin looking.

Please know that I have somewhat of a budget (if you can call it that), so the most expensive solution might not be the best for me.

I appreciate the support!
