No idea about the glass tilting.
The passenger side window on my '77 S went up and down really slowly since I bought the car, until the other day - when it didn't go up and down at all...
Ohming it out showed the expected connections all present - couldn't get the motor to move providing a ground for it either...
When I removed them, both passenger switches looked brand new, whereas the driver's window switch looks original...
I just finished swapping in a replacement window motor and lubing the regulator etc. That was fun!
Window goes up and down just fine now.
The motor I took out doesn't move at all when you connect it directly to the battery terminals...
So the motors can eventually die, although it seems like your car may have something mis-aligned or dislodged internally as well; might have two issues, or it could be just a misalignment.
