hey all.. I need to replace my lower rad hose.. it's ballooning quite fierce.. and i'll also need to flush the coolant system for the second year in a row.. took it to get my oil changed and they mixed up coolants and didn't put in stuff that was phosphate free...

dont even get me started on them dumping "power steering fluid" into my power steering resevoir full of ATF...

anyway, i digress... here's my question if you haven't guessed already... Can i completely drain the coolant by removing the lower rad hose?

I'm thinking getting a drill and poking a small hole in the hose to avoid the gush of fluid that would come out when i remove the hose from the fitting....
