Do kids even do push-ups in gym class anymore?

Funny, my sons 6th grade Social Studies teacher was ex marine and had the flat top haircut to prove it.
During the 1st week of school he had SS after Gym and they had run a couple of miles. My son decided it was a good idea to put his head on his desk in this class. Mr Cane walked right up to him, got 2 inches from his face and gave him the business, telling him it would be a long year if he thinks thats they was he is going to sit in class etc...
I thanked him at the open house and told him to be sure and let me know if there were any other problems. He seemed suprised that I thanked him. My son and Mr. Cane got along perfectly for the entire year. He got straight B's in the class and tried really hard in it too.
