What's devastating is the spread of sophomoric nonsense like this in the media. Is she aware that the world's highest number of tornadoes per unit area occurs in - drum roll, please - ENGLAND??!! They've been happening for tens of thousands of years in England. But suddenly in 2006 they are the result of "how we live our lives". Were the 105 tornadoes that occurred in England in 1981 over a 5 hour time span the result of global warming -- oh wait, that was the time period when 'experts' were predicting the coming of the new ice age!
