I take your rational is that he experiences less temp fluctuations therefore the engine can more easily compensate with its primary settings. No argument in that aspect. BUT, do/would you find it helpful if you were running say AC? I have not ran idle controls on either of my stand alones but have also not ran many accessories on either car.
