Legion mentioned that he's been the target of some vicious words, but he didn't mention me. Then Island posts his remarks. Both those guys, and especially Island, have been pretty viciously attacked by me. I personally believe I have stepped over that line. Both feet. Try as I might, I cannot seem to achieve Ban Status.

On the other hand, I actually feel I understand most of the Moderators' Code. While I emphatically confess to have overstepped the boundaries of personal decency and respect.....I'm only over that edge occasionally. Somewhat rarely. And apparently, brief transgressions can be forgiven, where the Moderators believe the out-of-control poster to be capable of rehabilitation and re-entry into our little society. The actual bans have targeted a different type of poster. A poster who can't seem to see where the line is. I probably wouldn't have banned Pat, though I recognize that some of his remarks were, essentially, treason. I can easily understand Moderators being uncomfortable with that. Overthrow of the federal government is not a joke. But I felt, and still feel, that Mul earned every bit if his banning(s). Later, he calmed down and we still see him here, I think. But for a good long time I felt he fully earned any and all ban decision the Moderators could make. If the Moderators made an error in judgement with regard to Mul, it was the failure to ban him long before they did.
