I have an '02 Honda Odyssey. Tranny has been missing b/w 2 and 3....been a real pain. Been pretty rough overall lately.

Brought it in, and apparently when they went to tear in down...it basically fell apart, according tothe shop. It's in pieces now.

Anyhow, it's "cheaper" to get a remanufactured unit from Honda than it is to totally rebuild. The unit is approx. $2100 USED....is that nuts? After labor, and extra b.s. and even a "discount" it will come to $3600 before tax. Price for the unit seems to be fairly accurate after some research.

i called Honda N.A., and they want to look at the tranny. Even though it's out of warranty, they may assist since the car only has 58K miles. Wow....I'm sooooo pissed. A tranny rebuild and a new Sachs Power clutch for my '85 targa was only 2500....seems cheap now.

Any input is appreciated.
