OK, now that it's light out I attempted to troubleshoot... it would appear that the gauge sender is a standard double VDO sender (albeit in a very inconvenient location underneath the P/S reservoir) the nut/stud connection appears to be for the gauge and the faston connection appears to be for the light. I pulled the faston and the light went out. I reconnected it and it appears to be working correctly, however, if I shut the engine off, it takes the light a few seconds to come on after the gauge needle drops to zero. I am ASSuming that this means I need a new gauge sender, yes? Can I order a standard one for a VDO 5 bar gauge, or do I need the factory correct Porsche part?
