And be sure to inspect carefully for what may look like new (painted over) welding marks when looking for VIN plates. Counterfeit early 911S cars have in the past, and probably still do, exist...now that values of good "restorations" have exceeded 6 figures. Caveat emptor. True "barn finds" are rare.
