I've re-sealed the oil pump and cooler on my 1984 944 (had a leak). When I started the engine-no oil pressure! I tried to prime the oil pump by putting oil in the center hole of the filter mount which didn't work. I'm wondering if the relief valve might be jammed. If it were, would there be oil in the filter? (there isn't) I'm afraid to start again without pressure-so now will only use the starter to crank to detect pressure. I'm sure the pump is good and I've done this proceedure before, so the crank bolt torque etc. is good. What's up with this?
