Pauter's parts are VERY well made (bullet proof) and expensive since they are all limited production items. The heads are type 1 based so the exhaust ports come out the sides and not the bottom and as far as I know, no one mades an exhaust system that will work on a 914 since the engines in our cars sit backwards! The intake requires their intake manifold and electronic injection as carbs can't cut it. The last time I checked, the heads are not legal for SCCA, PCA or vintage racing but are allowed in drags and off-road. Their 3.5 liter motor (4 cylinder) with injection puts out a conservitive 350HP! I use their stroker crank, rods and rockers in my big (2.8l) four and they are great. The people there are great to deal with and I have had good luck with them. Good luck.
