A good turbo motor is $10k openers. installation and tuning ~ $2k, then there is always some risk that something isn't right which won't come to light until the car is running and driveable. What is that risk worth?? say $3k. Then there are miscellaneous parts say a couple $k.
I've seen nice 930s go for $20k to $30k. Subract out the above costs and you are at $10k or less for the roller.
Part it out. OR Buy an engine, have it installed, tuned, dyno'ed and provide complete documentation. Sell it for $25k to maybe $35k.
If the '88 930 has a factory 5 speed, add $4k or $5k in value across the board to the value of the car. I can't remember if '89 is the first 5 speed 930.
