It's the new trend in late-nite-TV-legal-drama-style prosecution. Convict the defendent on anything possible, whether he's at fault or not. Here's a good one for you:

Note the cop in the story who died was drunk, speeding, and in a construction zone when he drove into a truck. The perp was convicted of his death anyway...even though he was 30 miles away when the fool killed himself.
