You are still a pretty primitive mammal, despite what is tossed around in the "What about God" thread. Animals often run in a diurnal cycle, affected by photo(light) period. You sort of reset your internal clock when you do this, to the point that you can change it prior to a trip overseas to avoid or mitigate jet lag symptoms.
