It sounds like a simple question. What weight engine oil should I use? I live in Austin, TX. In the winter here highs are in the low 70s and lows in the 30s. Summer is up to the hundreds.
My manual is pre multi weight oil and I was wondering what I should be using in my stock engine along the lines of today's modern oils.
Also, does anyone recommend a non detergent oil? I was told once that these are ok in engines that do not have hydraulic lifters and the ND oil will not foam under high temp as detergent oils can.
Any advice would be appreciated!
