I took some stuff apart on my 928 the other day. I locked the crankshaft in place and dropped the timing belt off. the belt looks perfect, I checked every roller and idler, they were fine. The tensioner is full of oil and moves freely. I did check the tensioner pivot or "shoulder bolt" and it is perfectly straight. I lubed the bolt and put it all back together. I torqued the shoulder bolt to 15 ft lbs with a torque wrench borrowed from a aircraft mechanic (their wrenches have to be tested and certified regularly)
Anyway no more tracking problems and no more slight squeak while warming up.
