Hello all,

Well i bought the 912 from my previous post. It ended up being a '69, 89k original miles, repaint 7 years ago by bmw dealer, matched factory paint, absolutly NO rust, little bit of bondo. Garaged and parked since repaint.

$1500..... (woooo -- hoooo)

so we just trailered it home, (so as to get it cheaper in case it did actually fire right up) and fired it up.

Timing was way off so we adjusted it, it still seems to have a problem.

I'm not sure what carbs it has as of now but it looks like the #4 throttle body is spewing gas up into the aircleaner instead of down, leading me to belive that its a valve adjustment problem.

Does this seem right to you guys? If so, what are the clearances for these valves. Even if this is not the culprit i need to check them anyway.

And last but not least, does anyone know where i can get a repair manual for this thing.
