I got some used chrome bumpers for my '74 (yeah!) but after cleaning them up, and putting the new rubber tops on, I found the threaded holes or nuts that are welded to the back are completely stripped and won't hold the bolt. I guess I will be taking them to a machine shop to weld a nut on, or to thread what is left.

Unless anyone has a better idea? I am open to suggestions.
