Question question: cylinder head/rocker cover - temperature

dear all,
i've bought a pair of carbon covers from wunderlich to cover the lower halves of the rocker covers on my S.
the catalogue suggests mounting them using "standard heat-resistant silicon".
in my local hardware store there are 2 different silicon products. the first is resistant up to 150°C and the second (for fireplace, fireproof bricks etc.) is rated to 1500°C.
can somebody kindly tell me what temperature the rocker covers run at, under "normal" i.e. standard setup, no chips, standard exhaust, etc., use.
many thanks
