Ah, yes, the America is a vast country. No contest.
But seriously, didn't someone wise and experienced once said: "Torque wins races, not power."? I think that's why the R1200S could be competitive even if it would race in SBK, depending on the type of the track it's ridden on. It would lose on long straits for sure, but there's the advantage of the late braking and excellent corner exit acceleration. I'm no track day expert, but it makes sense to me... or maybe it's just wishful thinink.
