im gonna have to disagree on the "never been a world class sportbike" comment. the R12 is truly world class in many ways, quality, fit and finish, durability, design, power delivery, the list goes on. don't confuse "world beating race bike" with world class sport bike. to me being world class means living at the upper end of the product continuum, and the BMW R1200S certainly does that in style.
