I've been a BMW rider for over 30 years. I know and appreciate what a BMW is and I didn't mean anything against a BMW bike. I just meant that BMW corporate has never built a bike with the expressed purpose of taking on and beating the Japanese in a pure sportbike comparison like what you would see in a Sport Bike, Cycle World or similar magazine.
They pick and chose their battles very carefully.
