I was riding home on the M3, a motorway here in the uk at about 90mph
It was only when I crossed lanes (3rd to 2nd and back again) that it started to feel weird, it was like the bike was crossing over tram lines, it gave a little shimmy.
Then I started getting a lot of vibration and I pulled over to the hard shoulder.
My bike was in for its 600 mile service the next day (tomorrow) so i had it recoverd to the main dealers.
Everyone there was shocked although one guy did try to tell me it was a punture that had caused it (nothing to do with the fact that I want a replacement for the faulty tyre)
When I did stop the bike and take those photos the tyre was still inflated, I know this because I kicked it
The bike is brand new and the tyre now has only 850 miles on it.
When I 1st picked the bike up and saw it was fitted with Pilot Powers I checked that they were not the ones included in the recall.
These ones are stamped "made in Spain"
Does make you wonder if there isn't a bigger problem with these tyres
