I'm seriously considering re-carpeting my 944, and need some advice. There is a company, Stock Interiors (
www.stockinteriors.com) that has an entire molded carpet set ready to go. Although the shape is molded to the contours of my car, there are two conditions that I'm concerned with. One is that the edges of the carpet are not bound and stitched; the sales rep assures me that he has never had a complaint of carpet edges fraying. The second is that the snap closures on the rear hatch carpet are not included. I would either have to remove the snap closures from the original carpet or try and purchase new snaps. Does anyone know where I could purchase replacement snap closures. I fear that I will damage the existing snaps if I try to remove them. Has anyone had any experience replacing carpet?
