I like the 2 4x4 method. the next time I replace mine I will use that.
I just replaced mine and its was a lot of playing to get it out of the fan housing.
Make sure you have a new alternator to replace it with.
I went thought three rebuilt's from Kragen Auto Parts (all BAD) and then finely got a new one "95 amp" from
aasesales@hughes.net for $ 575.00
also take the fan and housing down and have them bead blasted.
A clean Housing makes it a cleaner job to put iit back in.
